Daily Positive Thoughts
Perhaps you have the bad habit of focusing on your negative thoughts. You may say to yourself, "I am not smart enough", "my job is terrible", or "there is something wrong with me." But, have you ever noticed that there is no evidence to support them?
There is nothing in the physical world that proves that those negative thoughts really exist. So, even though they feel like the truth, they are not real - those pesky negative thoughts are only in your head. How do you break bad habits that are only in your mind?
Killing negative thoughts can be done and there are numerous books, websites, audio programs and movies on overcoming this unproductive habit. They all have the same foundation: replace the negative habit with a positive habit. Simply stopping the negative thought is not enough - if it can even be done at all! Personally, every time I try to stop a negative thought, I end up concentrating on it more and more and, consequently, the negative thought becomes stronger and stronger!
Instead of trying to stop the negative thought, you will question it. Questioning the negative thought derails it, clearing the way for positivity. With practice, your ability to spot negative thoughts and question them will strengthen. Eventually, when you have a negative thought, you will automatically question it and then effortlessly replace it with a positive thought.
Oops, I didn't realize the time...my apologies, but I will have to continue this post after dinner :-)

In fact, I later learned that because I was living in a constant state of low-level stress and anxiety, the chemicals in my brain had changed, making me more anxious and depressed. Clearly, merely managing my symptoms was not enough - in fact, following "the doctor's orders" made things worse.... Continue Reading
