Motivational Quotes
I have developed a daily habit of reading 3-5 motivational quotes before going to bed. I choose to do so at bedtime, rather than in the morning, because I want my last thoughts of the day to be positive thoughts. Part of my personal development plan is to live a more peaceful, joyful and centered life and this simple action has had an enormous impact on my life. Reading positive quotes before I fall asleep helps to set the tone of the thoughts I have when I am sleeping. Just before sleep, these motivational words enter my brain and then they have all night to "marinate" in my subconscious. When you read motivating words before bed, your dreams are more positive. Since what you think about is what you wind up dreaming about, it is natural that reading inspiring words at bedtime would bring positivity to your dreams. Best of all, when you wake up, you feel better. You just spent all night thinking about positive and inspiring things. The moment you wake up, your day has already started from a sense of well being. Taking 3 minutes to read some quotes is one of the easiest and most impactful things that I do each day. This nightly habit doesn't take 20-30 minutes, it doesn't require me to "get in the zone", and I don't need to keep track of some journal and pen. Reading 3-5 motivational quotes is one of the most direct ways to creating a happier life.

In fact, I later learned that because I was living in a constant state of low-level stress and anxiety, the chemicals in my brain had changed, making me more anxious and depressed. Clearly, merely managing my symptoms was not enough - in fact, following "the doctor's orders" made things worse.... Continue Reading
