Motivational Blogs

Motivational Blogs are a big part of my personal development plan. They provide great insights, nice sayings to use throughout the day and tips for just generally living a more effective life. I thought I would share my influences with you, in hopes that they will be useful for you, too.

Here are some of my favorite motivational blogs:

1. Steve Pavlina Perhaps the most successful personal development blog on the web: Stevepavlina.com His writing is excellent and he inspires me to take real action to improve my life. Something about his style really sticks with me, and apparently, lots of other people, too!

2. My Dollar Plan I've been a fan of My Dollar Plan since 2009. This site really makes me feel empowered and in control of my personal finances. The advice is clear and easy to follow. Since becoming a fan, I managed to save enough for a luxury vacation.

3. Fly Lady She is fantastic and taught me about simplicity and the powerful effectiveness of routines. Fly Lady

4. Itty Biz This solo entrepreneur dynamo gives excellent marketing advice for self-employed hopefuls. She is honest, direct, intelligent, sassy and very entertaining. She de-mystifies the process of starting your own online business. Itty Biz

5. Zen Habits Leo Babauta's blog is all about living a simple, streamlined, and organized life. He is real and honest. It is simplicity at its finest. Zen Habits

In fact, I later learned that because I was living in a constant state of low-level stress and anxiety, the chemicals in my brain had changed, making me more anxious and depressed. Clearly, merely managing my symptoms was not enough - in fact, following "the doctor's orders" made things worse....
