Importance of Motivation

Importance of Motivation

We all have great ideas. The kind of ideas that are uplifting, exciting, and inspiring. But, by the next weekend, the idea is forgotten and life carries on as usual.

How can you successfully take action on your ideas? How can you turn your idea into reality? You need strong motivation. The importance of motivation is clear: when motivated, you are committed to achieving your goals. Without strong motivation, you will soon find reasons to give up.

Motivation is what gets you through all of the obstacles that rise up along the way. It feuls your momentum to push forward. If you are stuck and getting nowhere on your goals, take a minute to think about your level of motivation. Is it high or low? Are you truly committed to turning this idea into reality? What is holding you back?

Often, when we lack momentum, it is because we fear that the price to pay is too great. On some level, we don't want to succeed, and thus, you are not 100% committed to reaching your goals.

When your level of motivation is high, you will rapidly move forward. You are driven and, no matter what, you will find a way to succeed. Your momentum is fierce and all obstacles are torn into shreds.

Why is it so easy for some people to achieve success, while others continue to struggle? In my opinion, it is a matter of commitment. High achievers are 100% committed to achieving thier goals; this is the importance of motivation. The successful elite already believe that they can achieve success.

The importance of motivation obvious. It is a strong internal force that drives you forward; it makes life bright. Without it, life is foggy and hard to navigate.

Here are some examples of the importance of motivation for success:

1. Create negative reinforcement. Make the pain of defeat so strong, that you are compelled to keep your commitment. Want to lose 10 pounds? Then, book - and prepay- for a trip to Hawaii, or buy tickets to that class renuion coming up. Want to get promoted? Then, announce to your boss that you plan to be promoted within a year.

The importance of motivation for success is that motivation creates a powerful internal desire to get results. When you are motivated, you don't want to find a way out. Until you develop strong motivation, use negative reinforcement to keep you committed. Create situations that make it really hard to back out. Announce your plans, make them public, make failure painful or embarrassing, and don't give yourself a way to quit.

2. Change your focus. Want to have more money? People tend to focus on spending less and saving more. They clip coupons, get basic cable, and shop sales. People narrow their focus on ways to reduce costs, but they fail to see the bigger picture. Once you reduce costs, you need to know the best place to invest your money. Should you pay off your mortgage or invest more for retirement? Which is better? How do you know? Just as you spend time researching the best deals at the grocery store, you need to spend time researching the best ways to invest your money. Make a point to research both on a weekly basis.

3. Banish negativity. Spend less time with negative people and more time with positive people. Happy, optimistic people naturally give off good energy and can help you feel more motivated. Good attitudes are contagious. The better you feel, the more motivation you will have and the easier it will be to have success. The importance of motivation can't be denied: it is directly linked to success.

4. Steal motivation. Find out what motivates others and use their tricks to help yourself. Have you always wanted to become a runner? Join a running club, find a Facebook or Twitter running group, and find out what works for other runners. Basically, find people who are already doing what you want to do, find out what motivated them to do it, and then use their tricks.

A friend who was struggling to get out of credit card debt got a very powerful tip from a successful saver: put all your credit cards in an envelope instead of in your wallet. On the outside of the envelope, write down your long-term financial goals. Each time you reach for your credit card, you will be reminded of them.

The importance of motivation.....it gets you to your goals faster, it eliminates seeds of doubt, and it brings light and energy into your life.

After Years of Misery from Anxiety and Depression, I Gained My Life Back

Exhausted? Stressed-out? Overwhelmed?

Hi,

Courtney here, author of this site. When I developed anxiety and depression, I went to a psychologist, a psychiatrist and a physician, and to be truthful, in my experience, these people couldn't really help.Therapy sessions, yoga and getting more exercise lessened my anxiety symptoms, but did not stop them for good.

In fact, I later learned that because I was living in a constant state of low-level stress and anxiety, the chemicals in my brain had changed, making me more anxious and depressed. Clearly, merely managing my symptoms was not enough - in fact, following "the doctor's orders" made things worse....
