How To Find Happiness

This article is about how to find happiness and then have a happier life. It is 100% percent possible for you to be peaceful, in balance, calm, and optimistic in life. The kicker is realizing that how good you feel depends on the quality and quantity of positive thoughts and self-respecting beliefs you have about yourself and also the world. Learning how to find happiness is the best cure for ending deep anxiety and pain and have a happier life.

Most people go through the same process: they first notice that they feel like crap, so they either buy new stuff or concentrate really hard on producing results that will make them feel non-crappy. They go out and get new clothes, or lease a new car, or work really hard for a promotion and they feel better for awhile. They feel bliss and a new life purpose. Then, the newness wears off and people feel discontent again. They have a vaguely unsettling feeling that having a less crappy life isn't the same as having a happy life. And, again, they wonder what they will have to do or what it will take to find happiness and a life purpose.

Notice that it starts and ends with how people handle their lives. The new stuff doesn't make people feel bad, because that just not possible - it's stuff, by definition it can't be to blame for not having a happier life. It might get a little dirty or torn, but essentially it is the same whether it is old or new. So, it isn't the stuff, but it is people's same old thoughts and beliefs that get in the way of having a happier life.

In essence, by buying new things, people are trying to up their happiness factor. It is the blissful feeling that the new stuff brings that motivates people to buy in the first place. Really, it is more efficient to remove the stuff from this equation because people don't really want the stuff, they want to feel that their lives have a purpose. People spend loads of money or work really hard and give up their time, sleep, and loving relationships in the pursuit of happiness. They mistakenly think that the "how to find happiness" involves giving up time, fun, and love.

A popular means of finding happiness is to concentrate really hard on your desires and dreams and, through this concentration, your desires will magically appear, creating a happier life.

This is close to being on the right track, but it still has problems. It's problematic because if people do concentrate really hard on what they want and then it doesn't appear, it can lead to self-doubt.

People may think that because what they want isn't showing up, then they are either not aligned with the universe or there is something wrong with either their thoughts or their concentration abilities. This just puts blame on back on them. And that certainly doesn't lead to a happier life.

Some people do experience some results using attraction based thinking. But, then they get afraid that it isn't sustainable. Can anyone really concentrate on attraction that hard for the rest of their lives? Again, the same question emerges: how to find happiness?

Having a happier life depends on a solid foundation of thought processes that will support the building of long term contentment, joy, and self-respect. Short term happiness is something everyone has experienced in life, it is common place. Long term, on the other hand, is more rare because most people are going about happiness in an ineffective way.

When you learn how to find happiness, then having a happier life is absolutely acheivable. Bliss can be a continuous part of your life, for the rest of your life. With a change in how you approach your life through positive thoughts, perceptions, and plans you can achieve lasting happiness. Its purely an internal arena. It's like you are rewriting the operating manual of your life. You can move forward and live your life in a new way that creates the fulfillment that you are searching for.

Rewriting your "life manual", i.e. the way you approach life, implicitly means that you change your thoughts and perception. Everything changes: the way you think about yourself, about the stuff that happens to you in life, and then, naturally, the way you react or proactively act as a result.

The change in perception, thoughts and actions is an invaluable process because it is through this process that you learn that you are the creator of your own happiness. You learn, deep down, that you have the power to think in ways that create less stress, less doubt, and more ease. You will awaken to the invigorating realization that you know how to find happiness and have a happier life.

By being different, not doing different, you shift from wondering how to find happiness to realizing that life purpose is to be in a state of happiness. Doing is a reaction to the present circumstances in your life. People react to and try to solve the current issues and problems that face them. They may even even be good at solving issues as they arise, however, the underlying factor is that new problems can come up that people fear they can't handle. Handling the present, doesn't mean they can handle the future.

By being different, the problems that seemed insolvable, that seemed to be the source of your discontent, are no longer such an issue. In fact, you may not even be focusing on them anymore. Or, it is possible that the problems are gone, without you even trying to solve them. They just are no longer even problems; like they never existe. The fear that you will regress to old habits is gone. You will realize that the old ways never really worked all that well and you won't want to go back to them.

Live from a place centered around your life's purpose, which feels like being in a state of well-being and bliss. Long term happiness is the natural result of approaching your life from a place of wholeness and completeness. You know that you don't need to buy or attract more of anything into your life because your life is not lacking. You don't look at your life and see what is missing, instead you see what you have, and you recognize that you created it. You realize that you are the creator of what is or is not in your life and that you know how to find happiness.

You know that you can always up your feel good factor and it is that knowing that is the key to long term happiness. When you know that you are the creator, it changes everything.
