How To Get In Shape And Look Better Naked!

How to Get In Shape and Look Better Naked

The new year is quickly approaching and when it arrives many people will set the goal to exercise more often. People know that they should get more exercise, but they just don't feel motivated to get out there and get moving. They find exercise to be unpleasant, inconvenient, or just plain boring. Every new year, people face the same challenge of how to get in shape.

For me, the secret trick that took the drudgery out of exercise was to use motivational pictures to pump up my emotional motivation to go workout. About 30 minutes before exercising, pump yourself up by imagining how strong, alert, and clear headed you will be after working out. Close your eyes and use motivational pictures like seeing yourself in a strong and healthy body or seeing yourself falling asleep easily at bed time after a hard workout. Picture your heart beating in your chest right now and then imagine how it will beat stronger and better and pump more blood and energy through your body after exercising.

Or, if you are looking to reshape your body, then try some motivational pictures of yourself looking good in your favorite outfit, or see yourself in a bathing suit, confidently walking by the water's edge. Imagine how good it would feel to have a flatter stomach or toned arms. Envision how great it would be to no longer be self conscious about your body's flaws and to be able to meet people confidently and be comfortable in your own body.

Another really good motivational image is to picture yourself standing in front of a full length mirror - completely undressed! Picture your body firmer, healthier, and more youthful. Then, take it a step further and imagine undressing your fit body in front of your partner and think of how great that will feel. If you really want to have fun with this, write "look better naked" on a piece of paper and tape it to your bathroom mirror. If that would be inappropriate in your house, then you could write the acronym "LBN"...nobody has to know what it stands for!

The mind and the body are deeply connected, so as you build up your physical muscles, you will likely find it easier to build up your mental muscles, too. Each time you add more weights to your workout, your body rises to the challenge. Sure, your muscles might be sore or wobbly, but the point is that your strength increases to match this new level of physical performance. Where the mind once said, "I can't lift 40 pound weights", the body responds, "Yes, you can!" And, the mind eventually says, "Wow, I can do more than I ever thought that I could do!" Likewise, when new problems arise in your life, you will feel more confident in your ability to handle them. The strength and confidence you gained physically will carry over mentally.

So, if you are struggling to figure out how to get in shape, try motivating yourself with positive body and lifestyle images in order to increase your emotional motivation to get off the couch! Good luck!
