Daily Positive Thought

Daily Positive Thought

Today, in honor of Martin Luther King, Twitter has been flooded with people posting (tweeting) the motivational words of MLK. Hour after hour, I read more and more beautiful "tweets" that either directly quoted MLK or were inspired by MLK's famous "I Have a Dream." I felt compelled to share them here.

"At the center of non-violence stands the principle of love." - Martin Luther King, Jr

"If a man hasn't discovered something he will die for, he isn't fit to live." Martin Luther King, Jr

"Our world needs more people like Martin Luther King."

"I have a dream that people will see that the potential 4 success & happiness is in their own hands!"

"Dear Martin, You are truly one of our biggest heroes. You are a leader, and an inspiration...We love you and miss you"

"that peace will reign, there will be no more armed militaries anywhere, everyone will be well fed and cared for and loved."

"I have a dream that one day will be able to look back on life and appreciate everything that has happened!!"

"I have a dream that one day we shall have the courage to accept responsibility for the plight of our nation & not blame the next man."

"I have a dream that people's lives are respected."

"I have a dream that this nation will... live out... its creed: We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal" -MLK

"I have a dream that more people across the globe will be of service to the community and those that need uplifting." :)

Any of the above quotes would be great inspiration for coming up with a new daily positive thought each morning. Tomorrow morning, before getting out of your warm and cozy bed, take 20 seconds to come up with your own motivational "tweet". Give it a try tomorrow and start your day off right!

After Years of Misery from Anxiety and Depression, I Gained My Life Back

Exhausted? Stressed-out? Overwhelmed?

Hi,

Courtney here, author of this site. When I developed anxiety and depression, I went to a psychologist, a psychiatrist and a physician, and to be truthful, in my experience, these people couldn't really help.Therapy sessions, yoga and getting more exercise lessened my anxiety symptoms, but did not stop them for good.

In fact, I later learned that because I was living in a constant state of low-level stress and anxiety, the chemicals in my brain had changed, making me more anxious and depressed. Clearly, merely managing my symptoms was not enough - in fact, following "the doctor's orders" made things worse....
