Bravery

Bravery and Raising Awareness:

Having awareness is the crucial difference between a life of intentional growth versus unintentional growth. Being brave helps to raise your awareness; fear lowers awareness. Being afraid allows fear to control your life. Bravery thwarts fear. When you have courage in the face of fear, you can conquer the fear.

In fact, what I often happily discover is that fear was cloaking an opportunity. When I choose not to be courageous, and I give in to the fear, my life remains stagnant - no growth and no new opportunities. In those times, fear has me on a leash, yanking me back from exploring and running with a new dream.

Remember that fear is just a thought. Be brave when you are afraid and remember it is all just thoughts. Practice saying to yourself, "When I am afraid, I choose to handle it by being brave. Fear is merely an idea."

The more often you can "get past" the fear, the more awareness you will develop as you recognize how much fear is in your life. You will begin to strip away all the ways that fear is boxing you in.

As you become more and more comfortable with being brave, you will naturally have less and less fear in your life. Imagine how liberatingly sweet it would feel to have a life with less fear. An honest and true life, the opposite of a fearful life.

Bravery smothers fear and fuels intentional growth. Being brave gives you the power and means to choose how you will grow. And, intentional growth towards awareness leads to a more fulfilling, purposeful, and conscious life.

After Years of Misery from Anxiety and Depression, I Gained My Life Back

Exhausted? Stressed-out? Overwhelmed?

Hi,

Courtney here, author of this site. When I developed anxiety and depression, I went to a psychologist, a psychiatrist and a physician, and to be truthful, in my experience, these people couldn't really help.Therapy sessions, yoga and getting more exercise lessened my anxiety symptoms, but did not stop them for good.

In fact, I later learned that because I was living in a constant state of low-level stress and anxiety, the chemicals in my brain had changed, making me more anxious and depressed. Clearly, merely managing my symptoms was not enough - in fact, following "the doctor's orders" made things worse....
